DevFest 2024, Coimbatore - Code of Conduct
DevFest is a community-driven event where we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. We value respect, collaboration, and the open exchange of ideas. To ensure a positive experience for all participants, we ask that you adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Be Respectful
Treat all attendees, speakers, volunteers, and staff with respect and courtesy.
Use inclusive language and avoid making assumptions about others' backgrounds or beliefs.
Be mindful of personal space and avoid any behavior that could be interpreted as harassment or intimidation.
Respect differing viewpoints and engage in constructive dialogue, even when disagreeing.
2. Be Collaborative
Share your knowledge and experiences with others.
Be willing to help fellow attendees and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Participate actively in sessions, workshops, and discussions.
Offer constructive feedback and suggestions to help improve the event.
3. Be Mindful
Be aware of your surroundings and avoid disrupting others.
Keep noise levels to a minimum during sessions and presentations.
Dispose of trash properly and help keep the venue clean.
Be considerate of the shared resources and facilities.
4. Be Responsible
Adhere to all venue rules and regulations.
Report any unsafe or inappropriate behavior to the event organizers.
Do not engage in any illegal or unethical activities.
Respect the intellectual property of others.
5. No Harassment
DevFest has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, including but not limited to:
Verbal or written comments that are offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory.
Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
Intimidating, stalking, or following behavior.
Photography or recording of an individual without their consent.
Consequences of Violations
Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:
A warning from the event organizers.
Removal from the event without refund.
Banning from future DevFest events.
Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to any member of the DevFest organizing team. You can find designated contact persons at the registration desk or information booth. All reports will be handled confidentially.
